Kinetix300
In April 2012 Rockwell Automation will release a firmware upgrade for Kinetix300 servo drives to fully support SX-Series servo motors from Elwood High Performance Motors. As part of Rockwell Automation's Enabled Technology program, Elwood's SX-Series is tested and functions with native support in Kinetix and Ultra Drives
Kinetix350
While the design of Kinetix350 drives support both high-resolution absolute feedback (single & multi-turn) and incremental feedback, Rockwell Automation has identified a problem with the ability of a Kinetix350 drive to identify a SX-Series motor from Elwood High Performance motors with absolute feedback. The problem will be resolved as part of a firmware update for Kinetix350 drives. Until drive firmware is updated, the only acceptable feedback devices for SX-Series motors for use with Kinetix350 drives are incremental encoders.
Ultra3000
Ultra3000 drives fully support SX-Series motors with single-turn absolute, multi-turn absolute, and incremental encoder feedback. Specify Ultra3000 when ordering.
Kinetix6000
Kinetix6000 family drives fully support SX-Series motors with single-turn absolute, multi-turn absolute, resolver, and incremental encoder feedback. Specify Kinetix6000 when ordering.
