Elwood-Gettys Group to Support Legacy Electronic Products

Racine, WI — Elwood-Gettys announced today that it is expanding it's program to support existing installations of original Gettys'-manufatured electronic products. Included in the expansion are the "Cyberline" servo amplifiers of Modicon Motion Systems, manufactured by Gettys throughout the early 1990's. Repair of electronic products (including tracer heads, amplifiers, and controllers) sold under the Gettys, Gould, Modicon, and AEG-Gettys brand names takes place in their Racine, WI facility.

Depending on the specific model, users can send their unit to Elwood-Gettys for repair, obtain new or refurbished units, or upgrade to equivalent modern units. On-site repair and/or replacement services are also available. Upgrades to installed amplifiers and controllers are performed under the guidance of Elwood-Gettys' engineering and technical services personnel, resulting in minimal disruption to production.

"We recognize the need and acknowledge or responsibility to support our installed base of legacy products," Davis Hansen, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "In some applications it makes sense to retrofit "state-of-the-art" electronics to an installed motor. In most cases, however, repairing system components is an economically superior alternative. Elwood-Gettys is dedicated to providing repair and replacement services for all motors and electronics manufactured at our Racine facility. Our objective is to maximize the life of the installed motors and the equipment they support."
