Elwood H-Series Success:  Emergency Breakdown Support

Elwood was contacted by a Rockwell Automation distributor looking for replacements forRockwell H Series servo motors. Specifically, they were looking for model H-4050-P-H00AA. Although Elwood is a Rockwell Encompass partner, the distributor was not aware of the Elwood H-Series. Because the motors are manufactured using the same parts, equipment and procedures as the original Rockwell H-Series servo motors, they are an exact direct replacement.

The Rockwell distributor has a customer that went down, because they rely on Rockwell H-Series motors and ran out of spares. The reason they ran out was that the last spare had been recently repaired by an independent repair house and was defective. The customer claimed that the hourly losses were in the $1000's of dollars.

After an internet search, the distributor contacted Elwood for assistance. Fortunately Elwood had two of the required motor in stock. The customer quickly purchased both motors and arranged to ship it same day delivery from our Racine WI facility to Kentucky.

The installation of the Elwood H motors is simply removing cables from the failed motor and attaching them to the Elwood motors. Once this was accomplished the customer was back in business.

The Elwood H-Series motor is an Encompass product that is a direct replacement for the obsolete Rockwell H-Series, S-Series, W-series and 1326AS series motors. The major components are made with the same materials and equipment as the Rockwell motors resulting in no mounting, performance or software issues.
